Ripple secures Luxembourg CASP license, completing MiCA compliance for crypto services across 30 EEA countries.
Ripple has received authorisation for its Crypto Asset Service Provider license in Luxembourg, marking a new regulatory step for its European crypto operations.
The approval from Luxembourg’s Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier confirms Ripple’s compliance with the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation across the European Economic Area.
The company said the license allows its regulated crypto payments product to serve financial institutions, corporates, and businesses in 30 EEA countries.
The announcement follows preliminary approval in June 2026 and places Ripple among digital asset firms operating under the EU’s new crypto framework.
MiCA Approval Extends Ripple’s European Reach
The CASP license gives Ripple a regulated route to offer cryptoasset services across the European Economic Area under MiCA.
The framework was introduced to create common rules for crypto service providers across EU markets.

Ripple said the approval completes its MiCA requirements after receiving authorisation from the CSSF in Luxembourg.
The company selected Luxembourg as its EU base for the license process.
The authorisation covers Ripple’s end-to-end crypto payments product for business clients.
These services are aimed at institutions seeking regulated digital asset infrastructure in Europe.
Ripple Positions Services for Institutional Crypto Demand
Cassie Craddock, Ripple’s Managing Director for the UK and Europe, said the approval places the company in a compliant position as MiCA’s transitional period moves forward.
She said European institutions are seeking regulated partners for digital asset services.
Ripple’s European offering is focused on payments, cryptoasset services, and blockchain-based finance tools.
The company has continued to expand its regulatory footprint as demand for regulated crypto services develops.
The license also sits alongside Ripple’s EU Electronic Money Institution license.
Together, the approvals support the company’s ability to provide regulated financial and crypto services in Europe.
