Upbit Lists Euler EUL on KRW Market Today.

  • Upbit launches EUL KRW trading, expanding direct access for Korean investors.
  • EUL jumped 74% before trading as listing news fueled strong market demand.
  • Upbit imposed temporary trading limits to reduce launch-day market volatility.

South Korea’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, Upbit, has announced the listing of Euler (EUL) on its Korean won (KRW) market, expanding direct fiat access for the decentralized lending token. The announcement sparked strong market interest, with EUL recording sharp gains ahead of trading as investors anticipated increased liquidity and exposure among Korean traders.

Upbit Expands KRW Offerings With Euler Listing

In an announcement, Upbit confirmed that Euler (EUL) will begin trading against the Korean won on July 26, strengthening its support for decentralized finance assets. The exchange initially scheduled trading to start at 12:00 KST before later postponing the launch to 2:00 KST without providing a detailed explanation.

According to the exchange, delays may occur when sufficient market liquidity has not yet been secured before trading begins. Deposits and withdrawals remain available exclusively through the Ethereum network, requiring users to verify supported addresses before transferring funds.

The listing gives EUL another direct fiat trading pair after previously being available on Upbit’s Bitcoin and USDT markets. Direct KRW access increases visibility among South Korean investors while simplifying participation without requiring cryptocurrency conversions.

Upbit also introduced temporary trading restrictions to reduce excessive volatility during the market opening. Buy orders will remain unavailable for approximately five minutes after launch, while sell orders below specific price thresholds will face temporary limits. Additionally, only limit orders will be accepted during the initial trading period.

The listing follows Upbit’s recent addition of Morpho (MORPHO) to its KRW market, highlighting continued interest in decentralized lending protocols. Both projects operate on Ethereum and focus on providing modular lending infrastructure for decentralized finance users.

EUL Rally Highlights Growing Interest in DeFi Lending Tokens

Euler attracted significant market attention before trading officially opened on Upbit’s KRW market. The token climbed approximately 74% within twenty-four hours as trading volume surged above $200 million across major cryptocurrency exchanges.

Market observers linked the rally to expectations of increased demand from South Korean investors following the new fiat trading pair. Historically, KRW listings on leading Korean exchanges have frequently generated short-term trading activity for newly supported digital assets.

Euler has continued rebuilding its ecosystem following the major 2023 exploit that affected its earlier lending platform. Since launching Euler v2, the protocol has expanded its modular vault infrastructure while reporting billions of dollars in deposits and borrowing activity.

The latest listing strengthens Euler’s market presence while reflecting broader interest in decentralized lending solutions.

Although increased accessibility may support higher trading activity, analysts expect price volatility to remain elevated during the early stages of KRW market trading.
