Doppler Finance XDP Trades 54% Below Launch High As Range Tightens

Doppler Finance’s XDP turns over its whole market cap about sixteen times a day, sits 54% under its launch high, and keeps bouncing inside a tight box on Base.

Volume on the Doppler Finance page at CoinMarketCap read $338 million over 24 hours on Sunday morning. The XDP market cap right beside it? $20.5 million. That’s about sixteen times the entire float changing hands in a day, which is a strange ratio for any altcoin.

XDP is the token of a yield protocol built around XRP. It traded at $0.02047 around 07:30 UTC, some 54% under the $0.04409 all-time high CoinMarketCap logged on launch day, Monday, September 28.

Most of the supply isn’t trading yet. That matters more than the chart does.

What Doppler Finance Actually Runs

Doppler Finance opened its vaults in February 2025. Holders deposit XRP or RLUSD, and the yield comes back in that same asset. Its own launch-day post says more than 14,000 depositors have put over $150 million in, across the XRP Ledger and Ethereum.

None of it comes from on-chain lending. Deposits sit with custodians like Fireblocks and Ceffu, then get run through arbitrage and spot-perpetual basis trades on exchanges. The site’s FAQ is upfront about one catch, since withdrawals take 7 to 8 days to execute.

Distribution is the other half. Bybit has offered XRP Earn on the vaults since April 2026, and Bitget Wallet’s RLUSD Earn filled up inside three days, per that same post. SBI Digital Finance joined in July for institutional XRP finance in Japan.

Only a Tenth of XDP Circulates

XDP’s supply is capped at 10 billion, and only about 1 billion of that is out there trading. That’s the odd pair on CoinMarketCap, a $20.5 million market cap next to a fully diluted value of $204.8 million. The incentives and growth bucket claims 43% of the lot, while the genesis airdrop got 1%.

Doppler Finance says contributor and investor tokens sit behind extended lockups and vesting. Staking details were still to be announced in its August post, and governance is subject to implementation. Wallet watchers will want to follow locked supply once it moves. TRUMP team wallets sending $249 million to Binance and OKX drew exactly that attention on Saturday.

TVL tells a flatter story than the token. DefiLlama shows $133.7 million locked in Doppler Finance on Sunday, about 10% under the $149.2 million peak from May 15. GeckoTerminal puts the ten biggest holder addresses at 95.6% of supply. That fits a token with 90% still locked, though it doesn’t say which wallets are contracts.

Where the XDP Price Sits Now

Launch day was violent. On the Uniswap v3 pool on Base, where most of the volume trades, XDP spiked to 0.03879 on Monday. Hours later it hit 0.01797, then closed at 0.02169. The pool prints lower than CoinMarketCap’s record because the site blends exchange feeds. Tuesday’s high reached 0.02606, Wednesday’s 0.02430, and Thursday’s 0.02089.

Lows moved the other way. Friday, October 2, found its bottom at 0.01853. Saturday didn’t get that low, stopping at 0.01898, and Sunday’s first four-hour candle (the 00:00 UTC one) held 0.01981. Falling highs over rising lows is what a box tightening looks like, and the pool still did $228 million on Friday. For scale, SHIB’s busiest session since September 23 came to about $10 million on Binance spot.

Volume piles up near the bottom of that box. Take everything since Tuesday, September 29. The 0.0195 to 0.0200 band soaked up 26.5% of pool volume, easily the busiest, and 15.2% more went through just under it. Add it up, and the volume-weighted average is 0.02111. Today’s price is under that, meaning the typical dollar changed hands higher.

Levels That Decide Doppler Finance’s Next Leg

Bitcoin was changing hands near 84,939 on Sunday morning, well above a 100-day average of about 71,260. XDP is six days old and has no 20-day channel to measure. The launch box of 0.0185 to 0.0221 does that job instead. The evidence doesn’t favor either side yet. Both triggers below use four-hour closes.

The bull trigger is a four-hour close above 0.02210, the high from Saturday’s 08:00 UTC candle. No four-hour candle has closed above it since the one that opened Wednesday, September 30, at 08:00 UTC. A close through it opens 0.02430 first, then 0.02606. A four-hour close back under 0.02111 cancels the idea.

Bears need a four-hour close under 0.01981, something Saturday’s 00:00 UTC candle did and nothing since. If it happens again, 0.01853 is the first stop. Second is the launch-day low, 0.01797. A four-hour close back above 0.02044 cancels that one, and a quiet weekend can flip either scenario by itself.

Fake Doppler Tokens Are Already Out There

The Doppler Finance launch posts warn about fake tokens and phishing sites, and say the official contract is shared only through its own channels. A DexScreener search on Sunday found at least seven other Base contracts using the Doppler or XDP name. All of them are priced at fractions of a cent. Lookalikes sit on Solana and Ethereum too.

CoinMarketCap’s listing ends in 91d0, and that’s the contract behind the $1.8 million pool, the one with the real volume. Every price here comes from the XDP/USDC Base pool unless stated otherwise.
